Carnation Michael Nesmith's Drag Boat
Dean Jeffries designed Carnation in 1967.
It was Michael Nesmith's Drag Boat with a
wooden front, you can see in the picture.
Engine is a Pontiac with two carburetors on
a manifold with diagonal carburetors, set up
There are two scoops mounted on top of
the four barrel carburetors with screens in
front of the scoops. A Ray Craft Flat Bottom
Boat from 1967 was what Dean Jeffries used,
to customize Carnation, Michael Nesmith's
Drag Boat.
A man from San Francisco bought the drag
boat in 2013, hoping to restore it. He put it on
Craigslist and sold in 2015 for $7,000 in the
Marina of San Francisco. Here is how the
drag boat was originally with Dean Jeffries
and Michael Nesmith and a Pontiac 389 CID
for power with those cool twin carburetors and
scoops with screens.
